About us
ÀNCO derives from the West African slang referring to two or more are people wearing similar or matching outfits.
The first concept driven collection released in 2013, was titled “iv father” and featured illustrations of four different icons (Fela Kuti, Nelson Mandela, Bob-Marley and Wole Soyinka) each dressed up as inspired by the movie "The Godfather". ÀNCO produces pieces with inspiration ranging from popular African slangs to typography and well-considered artwork, while striving to merge casual luxury with street-ready style.
Collections are only released in limited quantity.
